We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Potter Heigham, supporting three gentleman with learning disabilities in their own home. They’re aged between 40 and 60, and live full, active lives, whether it’s walking in the woods, playing snooker, swimming, or popping to the shops. One gentleman heads out daily, so if you love the outdoors and being part of the community, this could be the perfect fit.
You’ll be part of a small, friendly team offering 1:1 support both at home and out and about. There’s a mix of early, late, and long day shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins. Start times vary, and rotas are built around the gentlemen’s routines, so flexibility is key. You’ll sometimes work alone, but you’ll always have the support of your team and manager.
Support includes meal preparation (with plenty of encouragement for the gentlemen to get involved), shared household tasks, and some personal care, mainly prompting, as they’re quite independent. You’ll also support with medication, including insulin administration. Don’t worry, full training is provided, and we’ll make sure you feel confident and supported every step of the way.
We’re looking for someone who’s caring, reliable, and happy to drive (manual or automatic) cars. No experience required, what matters most is your attitude and values, if you’re enthusiastic, respectful, and ready to help others live their best lives, we’ll give you everything you need to succeed.
What’s in it for you?
We offer a thorough induction, ongoing training, and specialist learning opportunities including diabetes care and medication support. You’ll be part of an organisation that values its staff and invests in your development, with real chances to grow your career.
You’ll also benefit from generous annual leave, pension contributions, wellbeing support, employee discounts, and recognition schemes that celebrate the amazing work you do.
If this sounds like your kind of role, apply today and start your journey with us.
