Full UK driving licence required
Do you have experience supporting people with complex needs, learning disabilities and autism? Do you feel fulfilled and a sense of achievement when you’ve supported someone to achieve their goals?
We have a fantastic part-time opportunity available for an experienced female Support Worker to join our friendly team in Darlington, DL1. This is a permanent part-time opportunity where you can work either 16 or 32 hours per week.
Why join Dimensions?
The Opportunity
We’re currently supporting a fabulous gentleman in his 60s and a lovely lady in her 40s who have complex needs. They have learning disabilities, autism and can display behaviours of distress. The lady we support is a wheelchair user and has diabetes which is controlled with insulin.
They really enjoy going for walks and being outside, baking, swimming, horse-riding, and spending time with their family members.
Day to day they require support with full personal care, medication administration, food shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry. As both people we support have their own funded vehicles which are used daily, it’s essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and are over the age of 25 for car insurance purposes.
Shifts
For this role, shifts start at 8/8:30am one day and finish at 8/8:30am the following day with a sleepover shift included. There are also a variety of day shifts that are usually 10am – 5pm or 10am – 4pm.
We’re ideally looking for people who can work a combination of shifts on a rota that includes weekdays, weekends, and a share of the bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance so you will receive your rota at least 4 weeks in advance to allow you to plan.
