Who will I be supporting? 

  • You will be supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live their lives as independently as possible within their own homes in Darlington
  • The people we support have a range of interests from watching football, films, writing, music, social events, dancing, holidays and arts and crafts to name a few
  • They are looking for people who are willing to get involved and show an interest in their hobbies and the activities they enjoy and share in their enjoyment

What will I be doing? 

  • You will be supporting people to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves and to achieve their goals
  • Support can include personal care, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • You will also be supporting people to get out and about to appointments, for day trips and any hobbies, clubs or day services they attend – to fulfil this requirement of the role, you will need to have a full UK driving licence, be over the age of 25 for business car insurances purposes and be comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles

What shifts are available? 

  • Start at 10am one day and finish at 10am the following day with sleepover shift included
  • Day shifts of varying lengths starting at 8am or 9am
  • We provide support 7 days a week 
  • Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance
