Floating Support Worker - BANES

Start your day knowing you'll make a difference - join our team of Peripatetic Support Workers (Floating Support Workers) in Bath & North East Somerset and create a positive difference that improves the life for the people we support.

Do you like variety? Do you enjoy working with and supporting a wide range of people?

This is a unique, permanent Peripatetic Support Worker (Float Support Worker) role for Dimensions offering an increased rate. We have full time and part time contracts available. Contracted hours for full time are 37.5 hours, which will ideally include 2 sleep-ins per week and part time hours are 16 hours plus to include 1 sleep -in per week. We also offer variable hours contracts for people who have restricted availability at points in the year.

The role will involve reporting directly to the Locality Manager (Relief Resourcing), travelling within a defined geographical location, working in a range of services covering for staff annual leave and sickness in your home town and at times, neighbouring towns and villages. Please note that travel is more usually limited to a primary base of work for each shift as we do not provide drop in support.

An existing Peripatetic Support Worker suggests; 'I get the opportunity to support some fantastic people and one of the nicest things about this is seeing the people I support enjoying themselves' and 'As a Peripatetic (Floating) Support Worker I feel that I benefit from this more because although I support many different people across a range of services I have built some great relationships with them'

Whilst our shift patterns are wide and varied, which calls for a level of flexibility, we guarantee regular rotas to be made available at least one month in advance. Due to the geographical coverage, this role will only be suitable for drivers. Mileage and reasonable travel time is payable. Please note that our responsive night rate is currently paid as an average to meet National Living Wage legislation.

In return for your flexibility, we offer extensive service specific training in addition to a wide range of mandatory training, including autism awareness, positive behavioural support and active support. Our award winning personal development programme is also available for people who wish to further progress their career in social care.

If this role sounds of interest, please contact Becca Newton on telephone number 07393 012658 or e-mail her on rebecca.newton@dimensions-uk.orgfor further information.

To be considered for this position you must hold a valid UK driving license.
