Head of Projects & Programme Management

In response to the unprecedented events we are currently experiencing due to the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, at this time we will be conducting our interviews via video calls.

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme.

The Head of Projects and Programme Management (“HPPM”) will be required to establish and lead a new Group PMO function and implement project and programme management best practice to ensure best outcomes for the delivery of projects. They will be accountable for all the key Group PMO services including planning, tracking costs, resource allocation, risk and issue management, MI reporting, governance, controls and methodology compliance.

The role holder will work closely with the operational side of the organisation and internal business functions as the representative of the Group PMO.

As this is a new function the role holder will be expected to bring with them in-depth experience of different project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) and the related tools, templates and documentation that can be adapted for Dimensions and ideally with experience of setting up a Group PMO in another organisation.

A number of Business Analysts (BA) within the IT Department are currently focused on developing business requirements for the Group’s new operating platform. Subsequent deployment of the BAs into the Group PMO would provide the capability to find solutions to problems with clarity of business requirements leading to improved processes.

Although the location of this role is listed as Theale (our head office), the base can be anywhere within reasonable commuting distance of any of our regional offices.
