Lead Support Worker
£9.90 per hour
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Are you experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of distress? Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead by example?
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Leeds as the Lead Support Worker, where you will have access to an excellent training programme and opportunities to progress.
We’re currently supporting people to live as independently as possible in their own flats on the same site in the Kirkstall area, as well as providing support to people in the local community. The people we support have a variety of interests and hobbies they enjoy, including socialising, arts & crafts, culture, animals, gaming and lego.
Your role will be to support people to live their lives the way they choose and this is often to continue to support them to engage in the activities they enjoy, as well as providing support with meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
As Lead Support Worker you will work closely with the Locality Manager and the Assistant Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure the people we are supporting are receiving outstanding person-centred care. You will be responsible for helping to promote a culture within the team that every moment has potential and is an opportunity to improve people’s lives.
Shifts tend to be 10am one day to 10am the following day, with a sleepover shift included but some shorter shifts are always available, that often start with the sleepover shift and finish at 2pm the following day. We’re looking for people who can work a combination of shifts across weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value work / life balance, so you will receive your rota at least 4 weeks in advance.
For further information about the role, please contact Lauren on 07943 713 039.
Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places to Work programme 2019, 2020 & 2021.
A full list of rewards can be found in the job description attached.
Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews will take place until the positions are filled. If you’re excited by this opportunity, don’t delay, apply today! We look forward to hearing from you.
