Lead Support Worker

Calling all skilled, aspiring, and passionate Support Workers, domiciliary care workers, and shared lives carers! If you love working with people; if you enjoy making a meaningful and positive impact in the lives of those you support as well as within your local community, and you like proving that life can get better just as much as we do, then an extraordinary career awaits you here with us at Dimensions as a Lead Support Worker in Keynsham.

What you'll do as a Dimensions Lead Support Worker

  • Empower and encourage the people we support so that they may live their best lives - the lives that they choose. You'll achieve this by being actively - and enthusiastically - involved with every aspect of their daily lives (i.e., supporting them with shopping, their hobbies, their housework, etc.)
  • Respectfully provide intimate personal care, prompting and mobility assistance if/when required (i.e., some of those we support may use wheelchairs and hoists, etc.)
  • Administer medications and PEG tubes (if required)
  • Co-produce and design personalised support plans in partnership with the people we support, their families and your colleagues
  • Write and maintain written records and use IT systems
  • Be actively involved in meetings
  • Act as a role model - you'll meaningfully coach, mentor and support your colleagues to help them reach their full potential
  • To be prepared to work flexibly and complete all required training

For further information about the role, our shifts, and the people we support, please contact Ludovic Leclerc on ludovic.leclerc@dimensions-uk.org

  • Professionalism - you always act with courage, respect, and integrity
  • A positive and upbeat attitude
  • Great communication skills, strong interpersonal talents, and an ability to work well in - and lead - a close-knit team
