Female Support Worker - Relief

Day shifts, 4-6 hours
Ossett
Are you looking for a career where you can make a real and meaningful difference to the lives of others but you’re not able to commit to a permanent role? Perhaps you’re considering a permanent role in the future but right now you need the flexibility to work around other commitments?
Joining as a Relief Support Worker at Dimensions is a fantastic career choice that allows you to do just that!
You’ll receive full training and support every step of the way, making us a fantastic employer if you’re looking for a career change, are re-entering the workforce after a break, or if you have some fantastic experience under your belt already and you’re looking for your next challenge – whatever your level of experience, we’d love to hear from you!
Whilst you’re under no obligation to accept shifts, we do ask that you’re committed to supporting our permanent teams by working shifts where possible. Relief Support Workers are crucial members of the team that ensure consistent care across all services during busy periods, when permanent staff are unwell or on leave and they really do make the world of difference – seeing a friendly and familiar face is so important to the people we support when permanent team members aren’t available.
If this sounds like just the role you’re looking for, then why not apply now to join our fabulous relief team in Ossett.
You will be supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, to live their lives the way they choose. For some people you will be providing support so they can access the community and engage in the activities they love and enjoy. For others you may be providing support with their personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry. Some of the people we support are wheelchair users outside of their homes, so there are some moving and handling elements to this role. You will receive full training on this.
The base pay rate for a relief worker in Ossett is £8.91 per hour but you will accrue annual leave as you work, so it works out to be £9.99 per hour.
Shifts are often short day shifts of between 4 and 6 hours.
