Who will I be supporting?

  • We’re currently supporting a gentleman with complex needs to live his life as independently as possible
  • He’s very active and has a love for the outdoors  
  • He enjoys long walks, going to the seaside, exploring new places like castles, cycling, playing football, going trampolining, and swimming
  • When he’s at home, he likes karaoke, playing musical instruments, dressing up and doing impressions

What will I be doing? 

  • You will be supporting him to live his life how he chooses, to be himself and to achieve his goals
  • You will be supporting him with his everyday needs that include taking his medication, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • He is independent in terms of his personal care, but may need some friendly encouragement and reminders to complete his personal hygiene routines from time to time
  • You will be providing emotional and behavioural support – full training provided

What is the pay rate?

  • The pay rate is £10.24 per hour
  • *plus, you will accrue an annual leave entitlement of 12.04% for each hour you work, which is paid out to you monthly

What are the shifts?

  • Shifts start at 9am one day and finish at 9am the following day, with a sleepover shift included from 11pm until 7am
  • Relief Support Workers are crucial members of the team that ensure consistent care during busy periods and when permanent staff are sick or on leave. Seeing a friendly and familiar face is so important to this gentleman when his permanent team members aren’t available, so whilst you’re under no obligation to accept shifts as a relief worker, we are looking for people who are committed to supporting our permanent team as best they can
