Who will I be supporting?

  • You will be supporting a young man with complex needs
  • He lives in his own supported living home and is very active
  • He enjoys walking, cycling, swimming, listening to music and spending time with his family
  • He has a beautiful dog and requires support with all aspects of caring for his furry friend
  • He loves being around people who are fun, energetic and optimistic

What will I be doing?

  • As the Senior Support Worker (*known internally as Lead Support Worker) you will have access to an excellent training programme that will enable you to deliver outstanding support that will make a difference in this young man’s life
  • As the Lead Support Worker, you will work closely with the Locality Manager and the Assistant Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure this young man is receiving outstanding person-centred support
  • You will be responsible for helping to promote a culture within the team that every moment has potential and is an opportunity to improve this young man’s life
  • You will be providing hands on support to increase his independent living skills which can include cooking, cleaning, laundry and medication administration, as well as budgeting, food shopping and supporting him to take part in the activities he enjoys 

What are the shifts?

  • Shifts start at 9am one day and finish at 9am the following day, with a sleepover shift included from 11pm until 7am
  • There will be some occasional day shifts which are typically 9am – 4:30pm and are either “support shifts” to assist with training staff or “off rota shifts” to support with administration tasks
  • We’re looking for someone with flexibility to work shifts across weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays
