Who will I be supporting?

  • One male and two females in their 30s and 50s
  • They have learning disabilities and are supported to live independently
  • They are lovely people who are caring and supportive of each other
  • They enjoy singing in a choir, going to Zumba classes, and doing pottery
  • They also love going on holiday, with France, Greece and Australia at the top of their travel list!

What will I be doing?

  • As the Senior Support Worker (*known internally as Lead Support Worker) you will work closely with the Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure everyone is delivering outstanding person-centred support
  • You will be responsible for helping to promote a culture within the team that every moment has potential and is an opportunity to improve the lives of the people you support
  • You will be providing hands on support to all three individuals with the goal of increasing their independent living skills, which can include cooking, cleaning, laundry and medication administration, as well as budgeting, food shopping and supporting them to take part in the activities they enjoy

What are the shifts?

  • Shifts are typically 10am one day until 10am the following day with a sleep-in shift included
  • There are also day shifts which vary in length, and depend on the activity each individual wants to do that day
  • We’re looking for people with flexibility to work both shift types across weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays
