Start your day knowing you'll make a difference - join our team of Support Workers in Capel Le Ferne and create a positive difference that improves the life for the people we support.
The Dimensions team support 1 lady and 1 gentleman at Capel Le Ferne in a new service, both of them require the use of wheelchairs so candidates must be comfortable to deliver physical support and manual handling. Candidates will be required to provide support with all daily living tasks including personal care. Both of the people supported require 24 hour support on a rotational basis, with shifts such as earlies (7:00am - 2:30pm), lates (2:15pm - 9:30pm) and waking nights (9:15pm - 7:15am).
The gentleman we are supporting loves musical theatre and goes to see shows when possible, he is a really friendly character who really enjoys being around people and visiting with friends and family. He loves trips to the beach, visits to the pub and going to the shops. He is really looking forward to planning a holiday to France once travel restrictions permit. The lady we're supporting loves girly things, princesses and having big hugs. She's keen to try new things so we are looking for support workers with a positive attitude and proactive approach to finding new activities that she might enjoy. Candidates will be expected to work on a 1:1 basis so should be comfortable with lone working, especially when leaving the service as the people we support do have different interests so they may not wish to do the same things.
Full time, permanent contracts are 37.5 hours per week and the rate of pay is £9.12 per hour.
Candidates must hold a full UK drivers licence as the people we support have their own adapted service vehicles which our support workers will be expected to drive
Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme.
