Support Worker - DT4

Support Worker / Care Worker
Weymouth
Full-Time hours - 37.5

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to work at a service currently based in the Lanehouse area of Weymouth.

Whether you have worked in healthcare, mental health, autism, with challenging behaviour or maybe you have a background in retail, cleaning and coaching, this could be the career for you. Dimensions recruit against values and not previous experience.

As a valued Support Worker, you’ll be helping people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support. We are looking for ambitious individuals of a caring nature to work for an award winning company where we promote independence in a supportive environment.

The person who we support in this property is an outgoing, caring and fun person to spend time with. He enjoys spending his time accessing the local community and he particularly enjoys activities such as swimming, bike riding and local discos. He also enjoys cooking, various arts and crafts and Karaoke within his home.  The person we support can have periods of high anxiety which occasionally lead to him displaying some behaviours of concern. His family and friends play a big part in his life so will also require support with maintaining those relationships.

Shift patterns - These can be split into long days and shorter shifts - 7:30am - 8pm / alternate weekends and 1 sleep In per week.

For more information about the service and people we support, please contact Mark Ormerod (07342990554) or please click apply at the bottom to submit a short application.
