Are you committed to supporting others to live the lives they choose? It takes empathy, compassion and commitment to be an outstanding Support Worker – if you have these qualities already, we’ll provide you with all of the training you need to set you up for a fantastic career in social care!

We are currently supporting a gentleman in his 60s and a lady in her 40s in the DL1 area of Darlington. They have learning disabilities, autism and can display behaviours that others may find challenging. The lady is also a wheelchair user and has diabetes which is controlled with insulin.

Your role will be to support this lady and gentleman to achieve their goals, which includes engaging in the activities they enjoy. They love walking, baking, swimming, and horse-riding. They also have close relationships with their family members which you will be supporting them to maintain.

On a day-to-day basis you will be providing support with full personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Shifts start at 8/8:30am one day and finish at 8/8:30am the following day with a sleepover shift included. There are also a variety of day shifts that are usually 10am – 5pm or 10am – 4pm but can be dependent on what the people we support wish to do each day. We’re looking for people who can work a combination of shifts on a rota that includes weekdays, weekends and a share of bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.

There is free street parking available for staff cars and good public transport links.

For further information about the role, please contact Ashleigh on 07908 470 026.
