Female Support Workers
£9.91 per hour
Part-time, 17.5 - 22 hours per week
Sheffield
Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations supporting people with learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs and we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re currently looking for patient, calm and understanding people to join the support team of a fantastic young lady who lives in the S8 area of Sheffield.
Your role will be to support this lady to achieve her goals, which includes engaging in the activities she enjoys. She loves boy bands and girl bands and loves going to their concerts. She also loves going to cinema and shopping for homeware and clothes. She loves tradition and loves to celebrate life’s milestones such as her birthday and the anniversary of her house move.
On a day-to-day basis you will be providing support by gently prompting around personal care, assisting with meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
We’re looking for people to work on a part-time basis between 17.5 and 22 hours per week. Whilst experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essential as we have a comprehensive training programme in place to support you. So if you’ve been considering a move in to adult social care recently, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We’re looking for people who can work flexibly on a rota that includes a combination of day shifts and night shifts during the week, at weekends and on occasional bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
For further information about the role, please contact Sarah on 07760 990 528.
Your rewards
Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places to Work programme 2019, 2020 & 2021.
A full list of rewards can be found in the job description attached.
