Female Support Worker £9.50 per hour needed for Part-time role from 16 up to 32 hours per week based in Ossett. We are currently supporting a fabulous lady in her 50s in the Ossett area. She has a mild learning disability, diabetes, a physical disability and can sometimes display behaviours of distress. She has use of a hoist in her home and is a wheelchair user.
Your role will be to support this lady to achieve her goals, which include engaging in the activities she enjoys. She loves pamper nights, animals, watching horror movies, going to Slimming World and being sociable in the community. She has access to a Motability vehicle so it’s essential that you’re able to drive and have a full UK driving licence. There is free parking available for staff cars.
Your role is to ensure this lady is supported to live the life she chooses. On a day-to-day basis you will be providing support with full personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
We’re looking for a kind, patient and friendly person to join her support team, and can accommodate contracts for either 16 or 32 hours per week. Whilst experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essentia,l as we have a comprehensive training programme in place to support you. So if you’ve been considering a move into adult social care recently, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Shifts can vary, but mostly start at 9am one day and finish at 9am the following day with a sleepover shift included. There are also split shifts and day shifts. We’re looking for people who can work flexibly on a rota that includes a combination of these shifts during the week, at weekends and an occasional bank holiday. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
