This is a complex service and is better suited to experienced Support Workers
Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations and we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do.
We're currently supporting a young lady in her late 20s who has complex needs in the S8 area of Sheffield and we’re looking for friendly, calm and understanding people to join her fabulous support team!
She has autism, a personality disorder, epilepsy and a traumatic history, and she can display behaviours that others may find distressing. She has a range of interests and loves teletubbies, going to the cinema, going shopping for clothes and homewares and she loves to celebrate milestones like her birthday and the anniversary of the day she moved into her new home.
She is mostly independent when it comes to her personal care and appreciates friendly reminders and encouragement rather than full support. She requires support with her meal preparation, preparing her medication, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
Her shifts start at 8am - 3:30pm for a day shift or 3:30pm - 8am the following morning for a sleep over shift (sleep hours are 11pm - 7am). We're looking for people who can work flexibly on the rota, working a combination of the shifts across the week and at weekends. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance so you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
