Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations supporting people with learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs and we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do.

This is a supported living service with six individual flats supporting adults between 22 to 57 years old. They are all very active and like to get involved with exciting activities such as swimming, sailing, trampolining, horse riding, bowling and cinema. They also like board games (Scrabble is a favourite), theme parks, local night clubs and enjoying time outdoors at holiday parks or Dunstable downs. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, energetic and happy to try new things.

This role will involve managing challenging behaviours and supporting people’s needs to help them develop the skills to be independent. You will prompt with personal care and be active in assisting with their household tasks.

Whilst this service is 1:1 support, be prepared to work flexibly as you will be part of a wider support team. This could include working weekends, waking nights and bank holidays. Shift patterns can vary between 7am-10pm/ long days and sleep ins. This will be discussed with you during the interview process and you will be matched to the people we support.

Any experience with BSL or being able to finger spell will be advantageous for your application but full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to hold a full UK/EU driving licence with access to your own vehicle. You must feel comfortable driving a manual and automatic car.
