Support Workers:

Pay Rate:

  • £9.60 per hour 

Who will I be supporting? 

  • You will be supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs to live their lives as independently as possible within their own homes in Wakefield
  • The people we support have a range of interests from socialising with friends and family, dancing and drama, animals, going bowling, pamper nights, watching movies, going to Slimming World, shopping, day trips and going on holidays to name a few  
  • They are looking for people who show an interest in their hobbies and the activities they enjoy and to share in their enjoyment

What will I be doing? 

  • You will be supporting people to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves and to achieve their personalised goals
  • Support can include varying degrees of personal care, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry

What shifts are available? 

  • Days shifts varying from 2 - 9 hours long
  • Full days shifts with sleepover, usually started at 9am one day and finish at 9am the following day  
  • Split shifts
  • Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance
