Support Workers needed in Portsmouth - PO1 & PO4 areas. We are looking for full time and part time Waking Night Support Workers in Portsmouth. All training provided and we will support you to gain further qualifications.
We are recruiting across two services -
One service involves you working in a large team, where we support seven people with various disabilities and high health needs. We support 5 ladies and 2 gentlemen to live the life they choose. They enjoy going out and about for walks, love listening to music, watching TV, teddies and chocolate - who doesn't! There is a mix of communication levels within the house and a lot of manual handling is involved - wheelchair users and hoisting. They also need full support with household tasks and personal care.
In the second service, you will be working with two sociable gentleman in their own home who have physical disabilities and require mobility support. You'll support throughout the night to ensure they are comfortable, support with physical and emotional reassurance when they are awake. You will monitor and respond to any assistive alarms calls, housework, including cleaning and laundry. You'll keep some written records using IT systems, including the updating of support plans, incident logs and health and safety records.
We want you to develop professionally as a Support Worker. This means you are expected to get involved and contribute in meetings, work towards gaining work qualifications, attend training courses and be willing to learn new things and ways of working.
10pm - 7am - 8:30am. (To be discussed at interview).
