About the role

We are looking for a driver to work across 2 services in Christchurch and Winton, providing essential support for 2 gentlemen in their own homes.

One gentleman is 50 on Christmas Day 2022, so we're looking for someone who can spend the next 18 months getting to know him and really make his birthday & Christmas next year really special! He's great fun to work with and you need to be able to keep up! He likes to be out an about, going on walks, on the bus, and out for drives in his car. When at home, he loves to play games, people and car watch and build Lego. He has a bit of sweet tooth, so we hope you like tea and cake or biscuits. We're looking to start doing Alpaca Walking with him, and hopefully plan holiday too. He requires prompting with personal care, but likes a wet shave so will need support with that.

The other gentleman is in his 40s and may not have great verbal skills however he is great at communication what he wants and needs. Again loves going out for a drive in his car, multiple times a day, he also loves trains and has a trike that he likes to be out on too. As things open back up he'll be going back to day centre and his drama club. He loves food, but tends to eat too quickly, so you have to be very attentive at meal times. He does have epilepsy, but we will fully train you on this.

About you

Successful candidates will work well with the people we support with a person centered approach. No previous experience necessary.
