About the role

A typical role will involve;

  • Helping people learn the skills they need to live the life they choose
  • Personal care      
  • Support with shopping, housework including cleaning and laundry                                    
  • Supporting with medication
  • Supporting and encouraging people to find opportunities in education, employment and leisure, and enable them to take part in these opportunities         

You will be working as part of an exciting team supporting a young gentleman who lives in his own home in the Acklam area of Middlesbrough. He has his own car and enjoys going out for a drive, seeing his friends and family, daily activities include swimming, cinema, trips to the seaside, playing in the garden and support to go to the day centre.

He also requires some support with his personal care and there are aspects of this role that will require some manual handling. Full training and support will be provided. 

Shift times can vary depending on this gentleman's schedule, but there are most frequently 9am one day until 9am the following day with a sleep in shift included from 11pm - 8am. There is also a day shifts from 10am - 4pm. We're looking for people who can work a combination of these shifts across weekdays and the weekends. At Dimensions, we value a work / life balance and so you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
