As a member of our operations team you will be responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to have a great life. You won’t just care for them; you’ll support them to achieve their goals, and that can bring enormous job satisfaction.

The people we support and the people who work with us are at the heart of everything we do. To recruit Support Workers we use a values led recruitment process. This means we’re looking at who you are rather than what you bring. We want to make sure you connect with, and have similar interests to, the person you might support.

This new service will be supporting 11 adults with different level of needs to access the community, gain living skills, identifying new outcomes and being an active part of the local community. Each individual will have their own flat but we would be looking for support staff who can be flexible to work across all flats when needed.

Working at this friendly, fantastic service, you can expect day to day roles and responsibilities such as;

  • Helping, encouraging, supporting and teaching the people we support to do their housework, including cleaning and laundry.
  • Supporting people with their medication.
  • You will help the people we support to shop for things they wish to buy including their clothes and food, and to prepare their meals as required
  • Supporting, encouraging and teaching people to maintain personal and intimate care as required, such as dressing themselves, showering/bathing, using the toilet, etc.

Contract type and shift patterns will be discussed with you during the interview process and you will be matched to people we support in line with hours and patterns of shifts you are able to work.
