About the role

You would be supporting adults with learning disabilities who live in their own homes in either Southbourne or Kinson.

Southbourne (Male or Female worker)

This role will involve supporting three gentlemen in their 50s who live together in their own home. No two days will be the same, one day you might be out bowling or swimming, the next could be a sensory session or some baking and then off to the shops.

You will support with all aspects of day to day life including personal care, household chores, and increasing independence. Two of the gentleman use wheelchairs therefore a fair bit of manual handling will be involved and full support with personal care. It is a really busy service to work in, so you will be working in a team of 3-4 Support Workers whilst adhere to our policies, procedures and standards as published. Keep information about the people we support, colleagues and the company confidential. In addition, be able and willing to wear all necessary PPE (personal protective equipment) such as surgical facemasks, gloves and aprons as required by Dimensions policies.

Shift patterns will vary weekly and work around the people we support these can include 7.30am -14.30pm, 14.30pm – 21.30pm, 08.00-20.30, alternate weekends and bank holidays (to be discussed at interview).

Kinson (Female workers only)

This role involves supporting a lady in her 60's who lives on her own. She enjoys spending time in her car and going on road trips as well as music, tea parties, time in the garden and balloon play. 

You will support with all aspects of day to day life including personal care, household chores, and increasing independence. There is an element of lone working during the morning and evenings but the majority of the day you will be working alongside another member of the team whilst adhere to our policies, procedures and standards as published. Keep information about the people we support, colleagues and the company confidential. 
In addition, be able and willing to wear all necessary PPE (personal protective equipment) such as surgical facemasks, gloves and aprons as required by Dimensions policies.

Shift patterns will vary weekly and work around the people we support these can include 7.00am -13.00pm, 13.00pm – 20.00pm, 10.00-17.00, alternate weekends and bank holidays. Hours outside of 10.00-17.00 will be lone working (to be discussed at interview).
