Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisations supporting people with learning difficulties, autism, behaviours of distress and complex needs and we are driven by our five company values of Respect, Ambition, Courage, Integrity and Partnership. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do and we are looking for people who share our values and can support someone to have the life they want to live.

They have a mixture of disabilities, both mental and physical, however they are all independent and require minimal support. As their support worker you will go from home to home supporting with daily post and paperwork, preparing meals, some personal care, shopping and emotional support. You will also support with household chores and help them get out into the community where they like to go for walks, go for coffee or visit local places of interest. Some of them use electric wheelchairs to get out and about and there will be some lone working involved (1:1 support).
Shift patterns van be varied as we allocate shifts according to the requirements of the people we support. Some example shifts are: 7am - 9pm, 7am - 3pm, 2pm - 10pm, alternate weekends. The rota will be discussed in more detail at interview.
