About the role:
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, energetic, sociable and willing to try new things. Are you able to support someone to learn new things and develop independence?
The role is supporting three Gentlemen - "Bob", "Joe" and "Mark" who live in their own home. The Gentleman have 24/7 support. If successful you will join an established small team. Two of the Gentlemen are brothers in their 30s and 40s having a close relationship with their mum who they regularly spend time with. The third gentleman is in his 20s. The gentlemen are all very independent in their own ways. They have a learning disability and experience autism have structural routines they like to stick to. They all enjoy going out into town. They like going for a coffee, attending day service and watching films. All gentlemen are mobile and have verbal communication.
We take your health and wellbeing seriously. We have small close knit teams that allows you to work in one location and build strong working relationships with the people we support as well as our staff team. As a colleague, your have access to an app called 'My Healthy Advantage'. The app features a weekly mood tracker, a range of 4 week health plans, mini health checks and even a live chat service for those who prefer to communicate by typing rather than talking to someone. Alongside our outstanding benefits, we offer an excellent training programme lasting 12 weeks to help you gain the best footing in the industry. You will be paid as normal during training. We also help you learn to drive by covering 50% of the cost to learn driving. We understand that you have a life outside of work so we offer flexible shift patterns and hours to suit your lifestyle.
