Do you find yourself naturally caring for others? Are you able to motivate others in a consistent and calm manner? If so, this may be the team for you!
We’re looking for fantastic local people to join our outstanding support teams in the NE46 area of Northumberland/Newcastle where we currently support two ladies and two gentlemen in their 50s and 60s. They enjoy swimming, going shopping, trips to the theatre, going to pubs and restaurants and being sociable.
They have learning disabilities, autism and dementia and are looking for kind and patient support workers to provide personal care, administer medication, assist with transfers to their wheelchair using a hoist (training will be provided) along with support with meal preparation and domestic tasks. If you’re a positive and committed person with a passion for supporting others to live the life they want to live, then we’d love to hear from you.
Shifts can vary and may change from time to time depending on the changing needs of the people you are supporting. Currently we provide support through 24-hour shifts starting at 10am one day and finishing at 10am the following day with a sleep shift from 11pm – 6am included. There are also day shifts from 7am-10pm. As we provide support 7 days a week, 365 days a week, we’re looking for people who can be as flexible as possible and work a combination of weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays.
We recruit based on values so whilst previous experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essential as full training will be provided.
