Support Worker

If you'd like to make a difference - a real difference - to the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism in your local community, then our latest Support Worker vacancy might just be worth your consideration.

What You'll be Doing

Your new role will involve working in partnership with colleagues to continually provide bespoke support to ten wonderful people who live next door to each other in the picturesque market town of Witney. The people we support here enjoy attending day centres, arts and crafts, gardening, and going shopping. Each person has their own unique personal care plan, communication needs, mobility requirements, and some demonstrate behaviours of distress.

You'll Be Expected To

  • Be present and active in their day-to-day activities (i.e., organising their days, inspiring them to try new hobbies and follow their dreams, to assist with household chores, and join them at appointments, etc.)
  • Respectfully assist with their personal care and mobility facilitation needs (i.e., providing assistance with bathing, changing pads, and utilising manual handling to aid wheelchair users, etc.)
  • Assist with administering medications, etc.
