No Experience Necessary - Must have right to work in the UK to be considered for this role
You will be supporting 1 gentleman (JH) in his own home in Weymouth with all aspects of his life. JH has a learning disability so staff will need to ensure a patient, consistent, empathic approach at all times.
JH is very independent attending work and day centre’s 4 days per week. On these days you will assist JH to prepare for the day and safely make his way to his activities as well as receive him home in the evening and prepare an evening meal.
On his days off you will be guided by what JH chooses to do and accompany him on these activities (swimming in the sea, picnic’s out, cinema trips, crabbing at the harbour, golf, visits to venues such as tank museum, Haynes motor museum etc.).
Overnight JH has 1 sleep in staff member stay at his home. That person will assist him first thing in the morning preparing for the day.
JH is settled in his own home and requires minimal direct support in the home. A person to bounce ideas off of, prompt regarding personal care, help with Lego model assembly as required, and to wash up when it’s your turn is the level of support routinely needed.
Family means a lot to the people we work with so continuing to facilitate contact with them is a must.
If you enjoy long walks, the beach, vintage cars, or golf and are an empathetic person, come and join our team.
