Support Worker

If you're compassionate, patient, and resilient, and you'd like to have a more meaningful, personally fulfilling role where you can make a positive impact every day in the lives of those with learning disabilities and/or autism in your local community, then we'd love for you to apply to become our newest Support Worker based in Bath.

Who are Dimensions?

We're a pioneering, award-winning adult social care provider in England and Wales. Our amazing teams support, encourage, and empower those with learning disabilities and/or autism to live their best lives - the lives that they choose to live.

Why join Us?

At Dimensions, previous, relevant work experience and care qualifications aren't an essential requirement to join us, we recruit based on values, not just work history and education alone.

We built our reputation on providing outstanding levels of bespoke care to the people we support, and this level of care will also extend to you.  With us, anything is possible, and there are no glass ceilings here, so, you'll not only enjoy better job satisfaction and job security; you'll also benefit from a great rate of pay, you won't have to worry about costly, time-consuming commutes ever again, and you'll experience on-going, fully-funded training and mentoring, genuine career progression, a work environment focused on mental health wellbeing and where you'll be valued and recognised for your hard work and achievements, as well as generous colleague perks and much, much more (including financial aid to learn how to drive)!

About the Role

We're looking for three naturally caring, courageous and ambitious people (hopefully with a drivers license!) to join our close-knit support team based in Bath. There are two full-time positions available and one part-time. Shifts are varied and will include sleep-ins.

As a Dimensions Support Worker, you'll be expected to:

  • Be actively and enthusiastically engaged in every aspect of the lives of the people who welcome us into their home. You'll embolden and inspire the people we support to lead richer, more fulfilling lives; try new things, and be more independent.
  • Respectfully provide personal care, mobility assistance, and meal prep. support when required.
  • Safeguard the people we support - particularly through the night - so that they are always happy and comfortable, and in a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Administer medication if/when required.
  • Write and maintain written records (i.e. risk assessments, financial records, observation reports, etc.)
  • Drive (if a license is held) the mobility vehicle(s) the people we support share.

For further information about the role; the shifts available, and the people we support, please contact Greg Jones on gregory.jones@dimensions-uk.org
