Who will I be supporting?

  • You will be supporting 3 gentlemen in their 50s – 80s, with learning disabilities and autism to live independently within their supported living home
  • They enjoy watching or attending different sport events, from football to snooker and darts. They also enjoy anything to do with cars, buses, trains and Planes.
  • They thoroughly enjoy listening to and attending live music events, such as Elvis and The Beetles.
  • They are looking for support workers who share similar interests in the things they like to do, who can join them in supporting there much loved football teams, Newcastle / Hartlepool and Arsenal!

What will I be doing?

  • You will be supporting them with their daily routines
  • Providing encouragement in promoting their independence, allowing them to live their lives how they wish to choose and support in achieving any goals they set themselves
  • You will provide promotion and prompting of personal care, with some support when required
  • Supporting with meal preparation, general duties such as cleaning and laundry
  • You will be involved in medication administration along with administering insulin for diabetes

Shift time/patterns

  • We currently we provide support through 24-hour shifts starting at 10am one day and finishing at 10am the following day with a sleepover included.
  • There are also some day shifts that vary from 10am to 3pm, 10am-4pm, or possibly 8 or 9pm finishes.
  • Flexibility is key as on a weekend day shift as these could vary depending on football matches.
  • Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!
