The Role
We're hiring a part-time Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his 30s living independently in supported housing. You'll be working independently to provide one-on-one, person-centred support, transitioning from "caring for" to "supporting with" to promote his independence.
Responsibilities
Every day will be different, offering variety as you assist this gentleman with:
You'll also support with things that are important to him, like visiting the railway museum in York, going to theme parks, the zoo, coffee shops, and attending his favourite TV shows.
Working Hours
Be prepared to work flexibly, which could include shifts from 10am - 9pm, 10am - 2pm, or 6pm - 10pm. You'll also need to work alternate weekends and bank holidays.
