Dimensions provides evidence-based outcomes-focused support for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. We help people to be actively engaged in their communities.

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team supporting a 54-year-old male with a Learning Disability to start his journey in his new home in Poole.

He is generally a friendly and polite man who enjoys the company of others. His interests include;

  • Listening to music- Stevie Wonder is a favourite,
  • Playing musical instruments
  • Visiting the shops to buy his favourite magazine.

He requires a dedicated team who are patient, calm and understanding of his fears and the impact that his has on his ability to engage in basic daily living tasks. He requires support from those who are resilient and able to take an innovative approach to his support.

We are recruiting a new staff team and therefore fulltime, part time, and weekend only working will be considered with a requirement of sleep ins.  We are looking for individuals who share the same interests and are motivated to improve and encourage a good quality of life.

You will receive extensive training including training in PEG and physical intervention to ensure you are equipped to fulfil the requirements of the role. Aling with a full induction to Dimensions and support with completion of the Care Certificate.

It is essential to have a full UK/EU driving licence.

Dimensions provide Support Workers with full training.

Support Workers will have to assist this gentleman with finances, meal preparation and personal care.
