Make a Meaningful Step Forward in Your Career

We’re looking for an Assistant Locality Manager to join our team in Telford. This is a great opportunity if you’re ready to take on more responsibility while supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for people with learning disabilities and autism.

You’ll work alongside the Locality Manager to oversee 54 support workers who currently support 11 people across 9 supported living homes. This will increase to 12 people in the near future. The people we support have a wide range of needs — from prompting to full support — and your leadership will help ensure each person can live a fulfilling and independent life.

Although the role is mainly off-rota, you will occasionally work shifts within our supported living houses when required, helping you stay connected to the people we support and the team you lead.

What You’ll Do

  • Support & Lead Teams: Work closely with the Locality Manager to motivate, guide and develop a large staff team, ensuring quality and consistency across multiple settings.
  • Focus on Quality: Champion person-centred, strengths-based approaches including Active Support and personalisation.
  • Operational Leadership: Contribute to rotas, recruitment, staff development, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Build positive relationships with families, health professionals, and social care teams.
  • Stay Hands-On: Step into direct support when needed, maintaining a practical understanding of day-to-day operations.
  • Use Systems Effectively: Confidently work with digital tools, systems and reporting processes.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Previous experience working in a social care or healthcare environment
  • Understanding of supporting people with learning disabilities and autism
  • Strong organisational, time-management and leadership skills
  • Confidence using IT systems and learning new processes
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) — or willingness to work towards this
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: £33,217.30 per year (including 15% Off-Rota Allowance)
  • 30 days annual leave (pro rata) with the option to buy/sell leave
  • Funded training and qualifications to support your progression
  • A strong focus on wellbeing, including a dedicated staff listening network
  • **Bike-to-Work scheme
  • Retail, restaurant, entertainment and leisure discounts**
  • Enhanced DBS paid for by us
  • Guaranteed interview for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria
