About the role

  • Female Waking Nights Support Worker
  • Part time – 35 hours per week.
  • New Southgate, North London
  • £12.85 p/h

We are looking for a caring, reliable Female Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in New Southgate, North London, supporting four individuals with learning disabilities in a supported-living home. This is a waking night role where you’ll play a vital part in ensuring people feel safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night, in line with their personalised support plans.

During each shift, you’ll carry out regular checks, provide personal care where required, and respond calmly and confidently to any needs that arise overnight. You’ll also complete essential household tasks such as cleaning and laundry and ensure the building remains secure at all times.

A key part of the role is maintaining accurate, timely records using our digital systems, reflecting the support provided and any changes or observations, so that each person receives safe, consistent care.

Waking night shifts run 21:15 to 07:15, and you’ll be expected to work alternate weekends, helping us provide high-quality support every day of the year.

About you

You’ll share our values and have a genuine commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities to live the lives they choose. Whether you have previous care experience or are looking to start a rewarding career, we’re looking for someone compassionate, reliable and respectful.

You’ll be confident working independently during waking night shifts, following personalised support plans and responding calmly to people’s needs. You’ll also be comfortable using IT systems to record clear, accurate information and understand the importance of confidentiality, dignity and person-centred support.

Flexibility, a willingness to learn and the ability to work positively as part of a wider team are essential, and we’ll provide all the training and support you need to succeed in the role.
