About the role
- Female Support Worker - Waking Nights
- Part time - 22.5 hours per week
- £14.66 per hour + Up to £1,000 welcome bonus
- Willingham, Cambridge, CB24.

We are supporting five autistic people and people with learning disabilities, behaviours of distress and complex health needs in Willingham, Cambridge.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the people we support feel safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night. This is a highly important role where you’ll carry out regular checks, respond to any needs that arise, and provide reassurance and support as required.
You’ll support with personal care, medication and specialist clinical needs during the night, including tasks such as repositioning, monitoring health conditions and responding to any changes. Full specialist training will be provided, including suctioning, stoma care and PEG feeding, with ongoing support to help you feel confident in your role.
Although this is a night role, you’ll still be part of a close-knit and supportive team. You’ll work alongside colleagues to ensure continuity of care, maintain accurate records, and help prepare the home for the day ahead.
To help you feel confident in your tole, you’ll begin working day shifts for approximately 4–6 weeks. During this time, you’ll complete your induction, build relationships with the people we support, and receive all specialist and clinical training. Once you’re fully trained and signed off, you’ll transition into your permanent waking night role, feeling supported, skilled and ready to succeed.
Waking night shifts are 9:45pm – 7:45am, including every other weekend. Due to the rural location, a UK driving licence and access to your own car is essential.
About you
You don’t need previous experience, we’re looking for people who share our values and are ready to learn.
You’ll be:

- Willing to learn new skills, including clinical and specialist training.
- Comfortable supporting people with complex health needs and personal care.
- Confident using basic IT for recording and communication.
You’ll also need:
- A UK driving licence and access to your own car (due to rural location).
