Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £12.81 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift
Driver Requirement: Full UK Manual Driving Licence

About the role

We're looking for a warm, adaptable and enthusiastic Female Support Worker to join our respite service in Newbury (RG19).

This welcoming service offers short breaks for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex health needs. Guests may stay for a weekend, a few weeks or several months, meaning every day brings new opportunities to build relationships and make a positive impact.

The people we support enjoy:

• Zoo trips and community outings
• Swimming and cinema visits
• Holidays and day trips
• Social activities and new experiences
• Spending time with family and friends

You'll work closely with families and colleagues to provide person-centred support that reflects each person's needs, preferences and goals.

Support includes:

• Personal care and daily living support
• Medication administration
• Supporting complex health needs
• Stoma care, PEG feeding and epilepsy protocols (full training provided)
• Meal preparation and healthy routines
• Shopping and housekeeping tasks
• Community activities and outings
• Promoting independence, confidence and choice

Shifts:

• 7:00am – 2:30pm
• 2:30pm – 7:00am (includes sleep-in)
• Sleep-ins: 10:00pm – 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)

There may also be opportunities to provide occasional waking night cover.

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

About you
