About the role

We’re looking for energetic, positive and reliable Male Support Workers to join our team in Trowbridge (BA14), supporting three gentlemen aged 30s–60s with mild learning disabilities and epilepsy (well managed with medication).

This is a fun, social and active home where humour, flexibility and strong relationships are at the heart of great support. You’ll provide a mix of 1:1 and shared support, helping the people we support live independently while enjoying life to the fullest.

Who you will be supporting

The gentlemen you’ll support are sociable, adventurous and enjoy making the most of their time. They particularly enjoy:

  • Going out for tea, cake and meals
  • Exploring new places and activities
  • Visiting friends and socialising
  • Getting out into the community
  • Having fun, laughing and joking with staff

This is a home full of personality where building rapport and joining in is key.

What you will be doing

Your role will be varied, engaging and rewarding, including:

  • Supporting daily routines and independence
  • Providing prompting for personal care where needed
  • Preparing meals and supporting healthy living
  • Administering medication
  • Supporting community outings and social activities
  • Helping plan and introduce new experiences
  • Building strong relationships with the people you support
  • Working as part of a supportive, positive team

Shift patterns

Flexible shifts available, including:

  • 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm – 10:00pm
  • 10:00am – 4:00pm

Rotas are provided in advance to support work–life balance.

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • Positive, energetic and full of personality
  • Able to “go with the flow” and adapt your approach
  • A strong team player with a good sense of humour
  • Proactive and happy to plan activities
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Comfortable supporting independence and routines
  • A confident manual driver with business insurance

Experience is not essential — we’ll provide full training.

Family involvement

Families are involved in the lives of the people we support, so maintaining positive, respectful communication is important.

Rewards that make a difference

  • A competitive pay rate with uplift for overtime you choose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days’ paid annual leave (including public holidays – pro rata)

  • Salary advance scheme – access up to 50% earned pay before payday
