About Dimensions
At Dimensions, we pride ourselves on being one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit providers of support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Our purpose is simple: to create better lives for the people we support and for our colleagues. As part of our team, you’ll join a workplace built around respect, inclusion, career growth, and the genuine ability to make a real difference every single day.
About the role
You will be supporting four adults, three women and one man, aged between 30 and their mid-40s who share a lively, welcoming home in Harston. Each person we support has learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress, and complex health needs, and they rely on their support team for all aspects of daily living. This includes personal care, PEG feeding, administering medication, and providing mobility support.
Life in this home is active, structured, and incredibly fulfilling. The people we support love being out in the town, and you’ll be fully involved in their hobbies and routines. Swimming is a key weekly activity, so you’ll need to be confident joining them in the water. Other favourites include bowling, art therapy, cinema trips, gym sessions, meals out, video calls with family, Thursday community centre groups, and regular social occasions. They also enjoy annual cottage holidays and are exploring the idea of future trips abroad. Some individuals attend private physiotherapy sessions, which you will help them to engage in.
This is a role where teamwork is essential. Due to the high level of support required, colleagues rely on one another throughout the shift, communicating clearly, working consistently, and maintaining a professional, person-centred approach at all times.
