About the role

  • Support Worker
  • Full time – 37.5 hours per week
  • £14.66 per hour
  • Up to £1,000 welcome bonus
  • Full UK MANUAL driving licence and own car essential.

You'll be supporting four adults, three women and one man aged between their 30s and mid-40s who live together in a home in Harston, Cambridgeshire. The people we support have learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress, and complex health needs, and require dedicated support with all aspects of daily life. This includes personal care, PEG feeding, medication administration, and mobility assistance.

No two days are the same in this busy and rewarding home. The people we support enjoy leading active and fulfilling lives, and you'll play a key role in helping them take part in the interests they love. Swimming is a regular highlight, so you'll need to be comfortable supporting people in the pool. Other popular interests include bowling, art therapy, cinema visits, gym sessions, meals out, video calls with family and friends, weekly community groups, and a variety of social events throughout the year. They also enjoy annual cottage holidays and are excited about the possibility of travelling abroad in the future. Some individuals attend private physiotherapy sessions, and you'll provide encouragement and support to help them get the most from these appointments.

This is a highly supportive environment where strong teamwork is essential. As part of a close-knit support team, you'll work alongside colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality support. Clear communication, reliability, and a person-centred approach are key to ensuring the people we support live happy, safe, and fulfilling lives.

Shifts are on a rolling rota and will include 7:30am- 3pm, 2:30pm-10pm and long days 7:30am-10pm. You will be expected to commit to every other weekend as part of your full-time contract.
