About the role
A Support Worker plays a vital role in helping people live independent, fulfilling lives. They provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or physical disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, medication support, budgeting, and attending appointments. As a support worker you will also encourage people to develop new skills, participate in social and community activities, and achieve their personal goals, while promoting choice, dignity, and independence. The role requires compassion, patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives every day.
