About the role
At our friendly home in Loughor, Swansea, you'll be supporting two incredible women in their 30s and 40s who have profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), complex healthcare needs and vibrant personalities. This is a fully supported environment with no lone working, meaning you'll always be part of a close-knit and supportive team.
You'll provide person-centred support with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, therapy activities, and supporting complex health needs. Both ladies are PEG and JEJ fed, and use specialist moving and handling equipment including ceiling track hoists. You'll receive specialist training and ongoing support, giving you the opportunity to develop valuable skills in complex care home.
These ladies have wonderful personalities and love being pampered. This is very much a "girly" home where face masks, nail painting, relaxation and laughter are all part of everyday life. One lady is a huge Disney fan, while the other enjoys horror films and unique adventures. They both love experiencing new things, with holidays and special trips being important goals and highlights.
Shifts: Long days - 8am - 8:30pm
A full UK driving licence is essential, as you'll be driving the home's automatic disability vehicle to support activities and outings.
