About the role

We’re looking for a caring, proactive and reliable Support Worker to join our team in WR9, Droitwich on a Sunday shift (15 hours).

You’ll be supporting six young adults aged 19–31 with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs, each living in their own self-contained apartment within one building.

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where consistency, teamwork and creativity are key — perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a part-time position.

You’ll support two ladies and four gentlemen, all with unique personalities, routines and interests.

Support needs include:

  • Manual handling and hoist use
  • Wheelchair support (most individuals)
  • PEG feeding and dysphagia support
  • Medication administration (including epilepsy support)
  • Understanding non-verbal communication

Interests & lifestyle

The people you support enjoy a mix of active and relaxed routines, including:

  • Social outings such as cinema, bowling and park visits
  • Spending time in the garden
  • Gaming, comics and cartoons
  • College placements and structured routines during the week
  • Community activities and hobbies

Sunday shifts often focus on relaxed routines, social time and meaningful engagement, creating opportunities for connection and enjoyment.

Your role will be varied and purposeful, including:

  • Providing personal care and manual handling support
  • Supporting health needs, including PEG feeding and medication
  • Encouraging independence and engagement
  • Supporting communication through observation and interaction
  • Joining in activities and creating positive experiences
  • Working closely with the team to provide consistent, high-quality care

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • A strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Patient, caring and attentive
  • Proactive and willing to get involved
  • Confident supporting complex needs (or willing to learn)
  • Observant and able to recognise non-verbal communication
  • Reliable and committed to delivering great support

Experience is helpful, but not essential — full training is provided.
