About Dimensions
Bring care and kindness to life. At Dimensions, your effort and kindness never go unnoticed. You don’t need previous care experience – just compassion, patience, and a willingness to learn. We’ll make sure you feel valued from day one, with paid training, 30–35 days’ holiday, health and wellbeing support, and shopping discounts through Vivup and Blue Light Card. You’ll also be recognised through our Inspiring People Awards – because when we take care of you, you can keep making a real difference in people’s lives.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Hemel Hempstead, supporting an incredibly motivated and community-minded young man who lives independently in his own home. He is a marathon runner, regular volunteer, radio guest, and proud recipient of “Volunteer of the Year.” Last year, he completed the London Marathon in under five hours, raising more than £3,400 for a local charity he cares deeply about.
He is warm, outgoing and full of positive energy. He enjoys running with his local club, working on woodcraft projects in his shed, cooking (especially live cook-along), long walks with his dog and spending quality time with his family. He is looking for someone who will share his enthusiasm, encourage his independence and help him stay on track with daily routines such as taking vitamins, checking medication and planning his week.
You’ll work a mix of daytime shifts (9am–5pm) and evening shifts with sleep-ins (5pm–10pm + sleep-in until he leaves for work around 8–9am). Shifts include every other weekend. As driving is an essential part of the role, you’ll need your own vehicle and be comfortable using it during work (mileage reimbursed).
If you enjoy being active and getting involved, he will truly value having someone who shares the same love for keeping busy, being outdoors and embracing new experiences.
About You
You’ll share our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership and Respect, and bring a positive, proactive and person-centred approach to everything you do. You don’t need previous experience, what matters is your enthusiasm, reliability and passion for supporting someone to live life to the fullest.
You’ll be confident building routines, supporting independence and communicating. Above all, you’ll be someone who brings encouragement and joy into everyday moments.
