About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and keen-to-learn Support Worker to join our friendly day-shift team in WR4. You’ll be supporting five adults aged 43–75 (one gentleman and four ladies) with learning disabilities, autism and some mental health needs.

This is a busy, upbeat home where people enjoy community activities, music, social events, and getting out and about.

Who you will be supporting

The individuals you’ll support are sociable, active and full of personality. They enjoy:

  • Butlins 80s weekends
  • Day trips and long countryside walks
  • Reading magazines
  • Arts and crafts
  • Meals out and long drives
  • Fun, social activities in the community

This is a lively environment where people love routine, fun and supportive, friendly staff.

Support needs include:

  • Personal care: Full support for all people we support
  • Stoma care: One individual (full training provided)
  • Hoist use: Not required
  • Wheelchair use: None
  • Support with eating: Not required – everyone is independent
  • Meal preparation: Yes
  • Medication: Yes (including epilepsy medication – training provided)
  • Experience: Not required — we provide full training

What you will be doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll help each person live a full, meaningful and confident life. Your role includes:

  • Providing personal care respectfully and safely
  • Supporting meal preparation and household routines
  • Administering medication (full training given)
  • Encouraging independence and wellbeing
  • Going on walks, outings and community activities
  • Supporting social events such as discos
  • Assisting with arts, crafts and hobbies
  • Supporting holidays and day trips where needed
  • Being a positive, patient and reliable presence

This is a warm, active home with a strong team culture.

Shift patterns

This is a 16-hour day-shift role.
Shifts run with three staff on duty and include:

  • 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm – 10:00pm

Shifts may be long days or split shifts depending on rota needs. 

Rotas are issued in advance to support work–life balance.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A driver (preferred but not essential)

Experience is helpful but not required — full training will be provided.
