About the role
We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly team in Ormesby, Norfolk. We’re offering full-time, part-time and relief opportunities and because the gentlemen love getting out and about, a full UK driving licence is essential.
You’ll be supporting three wonderful gentlemen in their 50s and 60s who share a home. Each person we support have complex health needs, including PEG and stoma care, so you’ll bring confidence with personal care, moving and assisting (including hoists), and PEG feeding. Although support is delivered 1:1, you’ll never be working alone, there are always three team members on shift, creating a safe and supportive environment.
Life in this home is calm, meaningful, and filled with hobbies that bring joy. The gentlemen enjoy scenic drives around Norfolk, sensory and music sessions, and weekly boat trips on the Broads—special moments you’ll play a key role in making possible. Alongside this, you’ll support daily routines and encourage independence in a way that’s respectful, person-centred, and empowering.
Shifts include 7am–10pm, 7am–2:30pm, 2:30pm–10pm (with flexibility depending on what the gentlemen have planned), plus sleep-ins. You’ll also work alternate weekends as part of a fair and consistent rota.
About you
You’ll share our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership, and Respect, and bring a person-centred approach to everything you do. You’ll be calm under pressure, patient, and able to adapt to changing needs with empathy and professionalism. Strong communication skills are essential—both verbal and non-verbal—along with the ability to listen and understand what people are communicating.
You’ll be confident supporting with personal care and health needs, willing to learn specialist skills, and comfortable using technology for record-keeping.
