About Dimensions
Dimensions is a values-led, not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live meaningful lives. We’re proud to be a sector leader, using our evidence-based Activate support model to help people build independence, develop skills, and make choices that matter to them.
Our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. We offer high-quality training, clear development opportunities, and an inclusive culture where people feel supported, valued, and able to make a real difference every day.
About the Role
We are looking for Support Workers who are drivers to join our team in Houghton Regis, working across several supported living homes within the locality. This is role where you’ll support people across different homes, providing consistency, flexibility, and continuity where it’s needed most.
As a Support Worker, your role is about far more than providing care. You’ll work alongside people with learning disabilities to support them to live the life they choose. This might include helping someone develop daily living skills, supporting them with activities they enjoy, encouraging independence, or enabling them to be part of their local community. You’ll build positive relationships, recognise each person’s strengths, and celebrate what people can do for themselves.
You’ll be guided by Dimensions’ Activate model, which focuses on supporting people to achieve meaningful outcomes across all areas of life. No two days will be the same, and you’ll be supported with full training and supervision to help you grow in confidence and capability in the role.
This role involves working day shifts only, with shifts typically lasting 7.5 hours or 14.5 hours. There is no waking night requirement, though there will be sleep-ins, and you’ll be expected to work every other weekend.
Driving is essential for this role. You don’t need your own car, as we provide mobility vehicles, but you must be confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
About You
You don’t need previous experience in social care to apply. We use a values-led recruitment approach, so what matters most is your attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn. You’ll need:
