About Dimensions

At Dimensions, we support people with learning disabilities and autism to live fuller, more independent lives in their communities. Everything we do is guided by our values of respect, partnership, courage, and ambition. Our colleagues tell us they stay with Dimensions because they feel supported, listened to, and proud of the difference they make every day.

Whether you are looking for work that fits around family life, returning to work, or simply searching for a role with real purpose, Dimensions offers flexibility, stability, and a genuinely inclusive workplace where you can be yourself and thrive.

About the Role

  • Support Worker
  • Watford, WD25
  • Part-time, 10 hours per week
  • Shifts: Every Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM (These shifts are set and cannot be changed)
  • £12.85 per hour.

We are looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker to join our team in Watford (WD25), supporting a young gentleman in the community. You will meet him at a local community centre (Camp Hill), where his mum drops him off, and spend the day supporting him on site. Camp Hill offers a farm environment with plenty of activities, meaning no two days are ever the same.

He enjoys baking and decorating biscuits, arts and crafts, picking fruit and vegetables and spending time being creative.

His first language is Italian, and while his verbal communication is limited, he loves using an Italian communication app on his iPhone to express himself through pictures and prompts. You will support him to take part in activities, follow daily routines, and prepare meals that meet his dietary needs — pizza is a favourite!

There is no requirement to administer medication, but you will receive full training around epilepsy protocols if needed. Family relationships are especially important to him, and you will work closely with his mum to ensure he feels understood, safe, and supported.

Shifts will be Wednesday & Thursday (10:00am – 3:00pm). These are set shifts and cannot be changed.

This role is ideal for parents seeking school-hours work, or anyone looking to balance employment with other commitments.
