About the role

We’re looking for a caring, confident and proactive Support Worker to join our team in Bath (BA2), supporting three wonderful women aged 30s–60s in a warm and active home environment.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll provide 1:1 and 2:1 support, helping each person live a meaningful, independent life in a home filled with energy, routine and strong relationships.

You’ll be part of a supportive team while also feeling confident working independently — creating a balance that makes every day engaging and fulfilling.

Who you will be supporting

Each woman has her own personality, preferences and routines. They enjoy a wide variety of activities, including:

  • Walks and visits to parks
  • Trips to the theatre, cinema and safari parks
  • Listening to music — especially The Beatles and 60s classics
  • Watching YouTube, SpongeBob and Alvin and the Chipmunks
  • Shopping and eating out

Support needs include:

  • Personal care
  • Medication administration (including epilepsy support)
  • Wheelchair support (one full-time user and one for community use)
  • Understanding and supporting behaviours of distress

You’ll play a key role in helping them feel safe, confident and connected to the things they enjoy.

What you will be doing

Your role will be varied and meaningful, including:

  • Providing person-centred personal care
  • Supporting daily routines and independence
  • Preparing meals and encouraging healthy choices
  • Administering medication safely
  • Supporting community activities and outings
  • Encouraging social interaction and engagement
  • Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent care
  • Responding calmly and positively to behaviours of distress

You’ll bring energy, compassion and a positive approach to everything you do.

Shift patterns

This is a 37.5-hour role worked across a range of shifts:

  • Day shifts: 7:30am – 7:00pm / 8:00am – 9:00pm
  • Long day + sleep-in: 11:00am – 11:00am (includes sleep-in)
  • Sleep-in: 11:00pm – 7:00am (£50 paid to sleep)

Rotas are planned in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • Caring, empathetic and values-driven
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, organised and attentive to detail
  • Positive, proactive and flexible
  • Comfortable supporting personal care and mobility needs
  • Calm and patient when supporting behaviours of distress
  • A confident manual driver (essential)

Experience is helpful, but not essential — full training is provided.

Family involvement

  • Family involvement is important within this service. You’ll build positive, respectful relationships with family members and be part of a collaborative, supportive environment.

  • A competitive pay rate with uplift for overtime you choose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to support your work–life balance
  • 30 days’ paid annual leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
