About the role

We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated and team-focused Support Worker to join our friendly service in Bromsgrove (B60), supporting five adults (two gentlemen and three ladies) aged 50s–60s with learning disabilities and autism.

This is a warm, sociable home where people enjoy meaningful activities, staying active, and building strong relationships with both staff and family. You’ll play an essential role in helping each person live a fulfilling life, supporting independence while ensuring care is delivered with dignity and respect.

Who you will be supporting

The people you’ll support enjoy a range of engaging and enriching activities, including:

  • Hydrotherapy and swimming
  • Sensory sessions and music activities
  • Theatre trips, cinema and arts & crafts
  • Day trips along the rivers and outings in the community

They live together in a shared home, with some maintaining close relationships with their families, who visit regularly. A sense of humour, warmth and a positive team approach will help you thrive here.

What you will be doing

This is a varied and rewarding role where every day is different. You’ll support with:

  • Promoting independence and supporting people to live the lives they choose
  • Personal care and mobility support, including hoisting and repositioning
  • Wheelchair support and ensuring comfort and safety
  • Medication administration, including epilepsy support
  • Daily living support, including cooking, cleaning, shopping and appointments
  • Encouraging engagement in activities and community outings
  • Building strong, positive relationships with the people you support and your team

Shift patterns

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours) with shifts including:

  • Long days: 7:30am – 9:30pm

You may occasionally support the waking night team where required.
Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work–life balance.

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • Caring, patient and values-driven
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • Friendly, positive and able to bring humour into your day
  • Comfortable supporting personal care and mobility needs
  • Confident following care plans and routines
  • Organised and reliable
  • Happy to support a range of meaningful activities
  • A manual driver

Experience in care is helpful, but not essential — full training is provided.

  • A competitive pay rate with uplift for overtime you choose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to support your work–life balance
  • 30 days’ paid annual leave (including public holidays – pro rata)
